Sites for Teachers:
GoNoodle: This is a great site for teachers. I chose this GoNoodle app because it is free. You create an account and choose a classname. There are so many brain break activities that you can do with students on GoNoodle. I would use this every once in a while when the students were transitioning from one subject to the next for a little break and to get children up and moving. Quizlet: I chose Quizlet because this is a great tool for teachers and students. You can create your own flashcards and online quizes for any subject you are studying. It even gives you your quiz score at the end of the quiz. A teacher could create a quiz using Quizlet and then record the score the student got after they took the quiz. Pinterest: I chose Pinterest. As a teacher Pinterest can come in handy. Many teachers post lesson plans or other great ideas that can help other teachers when planning a lesson. |
Sites for Parents:
Starfall: I chose starfall because this is a great reading website for parents. Parents can use starfall with their children at home to help them with reading. Starfall is an easy to use website. Kidsspell: I chose this website because it is a great website for parents. Parents can work with their children at home on spelling words. When you open the website, you can find your grade level and each lesson shows some spelling words. This is a free website and easy to use. Children can even play spelling games. |
Sites for Students:
Funbrain: I chose this website because this website has games for students to play. Some of the games include reading games and math games. PBS Kids: I chose this website because the online games section of the PBS website offers not only games but also printable activities such as coloring pages. These resources attract and engage young students because they feature popular PBS characters. |
